Game Over

For those who haven't heard yet - I'm engaged! I popped the question outside the Uspenski cathedral in Helsinki. The wedding will be on April 28th.
Miranda got me this awesome shirt. She bought it a few months ago and has been saving it for the occasion.

The Goat is Alive!

We are in Sweden, and the Gävle goat is still in one piece. We spent the past 2 days in Stockholm, and I will be posting a ton of pictures. Today we are taking it easy in Gävle and tomorrow we head out on our cruise to Helsinki.
Here's a couple of photos. They are (from left to right): The Gävle goat, a cathedral in Stockholm, Stockholm at dusk, and the Vassa museum.

Coquihalla

On the way back to Vancouver from Kamloops. We were going to go back on Sunday night, but there was a big snowstorm so we waited until Monday.

Daycare Christmas

The Daycare Miranda works at had a Christmas presentation on Friday. Here's some shots. All of these used a single Vivitar 285 (full power, CTO) bounced off the ceiling at stage left (camera right). Because the ceilings were irregular shaped and fairly high, I didn't get much light from the strobe and had to bump all the way up to ISO 1600 - resulting in some graininess. By using this flash setup, I was able to throw on my 100-300mm and take handheld shots from the back of the room (out of the way of all the parents taking pictures).
